I knew straight away, this was where I wanted him to be

Last September I had to make a decision which I really didn’t want to do. All at once it was taken out of my hands. I had to put my brother who is ten years older than me and always lived alone into a care home. He had always stayed with us when he came to Sheffield but we knew he wasn’t right. The last time he stayed, he locked my husband in the house and went off with the car keys. We found him at the local shop. That’s when we decided to look for a home. We went to a few in the area but when we went into North Hill Residential Care Home I knew straight away, this was where I wanted him to be. I felt at home with Angela who let us in. I found her warm and caring as are all the staff. He didn’t settle at first but soon he was walking around without his bag and belongings. Last time we brought him to our house he asked to go back as “they would be wondering where I am” he said. I know now I made the right decision and I thank all the staff for his care and attention. He’d be lost without them and so would I. Many many thanks to you all.

Absolutely feels at home and loves it
